Load taken to a licensed Merseyside transfer station. Weighbridge ticket and photo of the empty van emailed to you within two hours.
“They emailed the Waste Transfer Note and the transfer-station receipt before I’d sat back down. First rubbish crew that did the paperwork without being asked.”
Homeowner clearing a two-bed terrace, Aigburth L17
“Asked to see the insurance certificate for a communal-hallway clearance. It was in my inbox in eleven minutes with the policy number and the underwriter’s name.”
Block manager, Ropewalks L1
“The van pulled up with the reg on the door matching the reg on the quote. Sounds small — it was the reason I stopped using the £60 lad off Facebook.”
Landlord, three properties across L15 & L18
What licence do you actually hold?
An Environment Agency Upper Tier Waste Carrier, Broker and Dealer registration. The certificate number begins CBDU and appears on every quote we send, so you can verify it live at register.environmentagency.gov.uk before you book.
Am I liable if I hire an unregistered operator?
Yes. Under Section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, householders can be issued a £400 fixed penalty notice or, on prosecution, fined up to £5,000 for handing waste to an unregistered carrier — the "Duty of Care" clause, even if you didn’t know.
What happens if my rubbish gets fly-tipped after collection?
It won’t — every load is weighed in at a licensed Merseyside transfer station and the ticket goes in your file. If a registered carrier is caught fly-tipping, liability sits with the carrier. Your Upper Tier registration number on the Waste Transfer Note is your paperwork proof.
Are your crew DBS-checked?
Every crew member holds an Enhanced DBS certificate, refreshed on a three-year cycle. We check it before their first shift — over half our jobs are inside people’s homes, hallways, or vulnerable relatives’ flats.
Can I see your public liability insurance certificate?
Yes. Send us the L or CH postcode and we’ll email the certificate, policy number, and underwriter details — usually within the same working hour, always before the crew turn up.
What paperwork do I get after the job?
Three documents within two hours: the signed Waste Transfer Note, the weighbridge ticket from the licensed transfer station, and a timestamped photo of the empty van at drop-off. Retained on file against your postcode for six years, the statutory minimum.
Do you subcontract collections to other operators?
No. Every L-postcode job is done by our own Upper Tier registered crew in one of our own UK-registered vans. If the name on the quote doesn’t match the name on the van, the job doesn’t run.
Where does the rubbish actually go?
Licensed Merseyside transfer stations for sorting — the weighbridge ticket names the specific site. Reusable items are diverted for reuse where possible; the rest is separated for recycling or licensed disposal, not dumped roadside in Kirkby or off the East Lancs.
See the paperwork before you book.
